Shadow and Reflection Reflection
Almost all of these photos were taken in the late afternoon of the day. Most of them are American Girl dolls, but I also chose a sun dial, art from the art gallery, and the Taunton River. For the most part, the ISO was set higher (800+) because I was inside and didn’t have extremely good lighting. The doll images were all based off of the idea of creating a scene from the look they had (i.e the figure skater had a reflection on the ice, the karate girl fighting another opponent). The cat was eating a treat over the mirror so I captured that moment. Shadow wasn’t as much of a priority as reflection was in my photoset. The doll silhouette has a shadow cast on t flat table from two flashlights shining on her. The images overall have very different feels about them, all being different types of compositions. Some have a creepy/ mysterious mood to them because of the shadow, or because they’re in black and white. Others are more peaceful because of the calm reflections on the water or the shattered artwork.
